Novel ways to analyze genomic data

Researchers from the Intelligent Data Analysis team developed new techniques improving computational analysis of gene expression data. To this end, they were able to leverage the known ways that genes regulate each other in bacteria. Their method was published in the journal BMC Bioinformatics.

Visit of professor Panetta

Karen Panetta, professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tufts University, visited the Faculty of Electrical Engineering on Friday 13th of May.

After meeting prof. Pechoucek, head of dept. of Computer Science, she visited other departments and in the afternoon held a lecture about women in engineering.
