Multimedia: luxury or necessity, sound processing, CD-DA and optically re-writable media, errors, Reed-Salomon interleaved codes, data compression, exchangeable media of external memories (tapes, disks), recording, storing, and processing of image sequences, interface standards for new media, flash cards and PCMCIA, flat displays, image and sound on networks.
