Branislav Bošanský received the Cisco Outstanding Thesis Award for 2015

CISCO SYSTEMS (Czech Republic) s.r.o. and Faculty of electrical engineering of CTU in Prague declared together a competition Cisco Outstanding Thesis Award. The competition, which was opened for all students from Czech universities, awards three best thesis in field of computer science, especially in machine learning and cybernetics security.

Branislav Bošanský, young researcher and assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science, CTU in Prague received the first price in the Cisco Outstanding Thesis Award 2015 competition for his doctoral thesis "Iterative Algorithms for Solving Finite Sequential Zero-Sum Games". The supervisor was doc. Ing. Lenka Lhotská, CSc from the Department of Cybernetics at Faculty of Electrical Engineering CTU and the supervisor specialist of the thesis was prof. Dr. Michal Pechouček, MSc from the Department of Computer Science at Faculty of Electrical Engineering CTU. The jury appreciated the contribution of the thesis for new algorithms allowing solving large sequential scenarios with many possible applications including many problems of network security.
