Efficient methods for software testing by Miroslav Bureš

In current software projects, 30-50% of the budget is typically spent on testing, defect fixing and re-working of the system as a result of the inconsistent and incomplete specification. Continuous industry demand for more efficient software testing techniques also inspires my research. The central idea is automation of suitable parts of the testing process – from test cases generation based on software model to the more efficient automated execution of the tests. In the workshop, I will talk about several areas as prioritized business process model-based testing, testing of consistency of data objects in extensive integrated information systems or machine-aid of the exploratory testing process using a reconstruction of the tested system model.
